Although they lost on Sunday, the Caps have clinched the Eastern conference and home-ice advantage in the playoffs. The New jersey loss put them over the top. I don't think it's enough. I they have played amazing this season but they at least need to go deep in the playoffs. That's a lot of pressure, but they can handle it. I'm being hard on them, but I agree with coach Boudreau, they haven't proven their able to win the Stanley Cup. The players are happy with this accomplishment, as am I. They deserve home-ice advantage and they got it. Don't get me wrong, they are a great team, but they'll only be great if they go all the way. Coach Boudreau didn't want to celebrate a loss, but was grateful for what they did during the regular season. Now all they have to do is rest and get healthy for the playoffs. It looks like they will face one of three teams in the first round:
- Montreal
- Atlanta
- Philadelphia
- Boston

ReplyDeleteI would like to see Atlanta, mainly becuase we beat them all the time, and they have never been in the playoffs. I agree! I do not want ovi to lose to crosby for the most goals!!!! Ovi would be winning if he wasn't injured or suspended.
